SIAE, a subsidiary of the French Aerospace Industries Association, hosted the 51st International Paris Air Show. The air show took place at the Le Bourget Exhibition Center from June 15-21.

An opening ceremony with French President Francois Hollande marked the beginning of the show. A total of 2,303 exhibitors from 48 countries showcased their aircrafts and the latest aviation technology. In particular, the Boeing 787’s amazing vertical take-off performance, and the static displays of the Airbus’s E-Fan and Bombardier’s CS300, drew a lot of attention.

Officials said that the show this year was record-breaking. About 351,000 visitors, including nearly 202,000 members of the general public, as well as industry professionals, attended the event. They had the opportunities to watch flying displays performed by the world’s best airlines, and learn about aircraft construction, weapon systems, and stylish cabin interiors.

The world’s biggest airshow has provided an insight into the airline industry’s current trends and technology. The 52nd Air Show will be hosted in Paris again from June 19-25 in 2017.
